Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on healthcare units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and collecting meal trays. They are vital to patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu choices and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
• Determine menu options for patients with allergies, sensitivities, or cultural preferences.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately and promptly, and retrieve trays from rooms.
• Follow all regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and maintain confidentiality.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines and infection control policies.
• Support dietitians by monitoring patients on special diets.
• Communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports as per policies.
• Follow sanitation and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
