PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE DIETARY AIDE (FULL TIME)

We are hiring immediately for full-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE DIETARY AIDE positions.

Location: Inova Fairfax Medical Campus - 3300 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA 22042

Note: Online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part-time schedule. Days may vary with one 6-hour day, 6:30 am - 6:30 pm or 6:45 am - 6:45 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: 1 year of food service and customer service experience required.

Perks: $750 sign-on bonus paid out 1/2 at 90 days and remaining 1/2 at 180 days!

Pay Range: $15.65 per hour to $15.65 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, assisting patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are key members of the caregiving team, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and meet safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu understanding and collaborate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
• Work with culinary staff to accommodate allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately, and retrieve trays at scheduled times.
• Comply with regulatory standards, HIPAA, and infection control policies.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring special diets and nutritional management.
• Communicate patient concerns promptly and complete required reports.
• Follow sanitation and safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
