Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work in healthcare facilities, assisting with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are vital to patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

• Assist patients with menu choices and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
• Work with culinary and caregiving teams to accommodate allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and promptly.
• Comply with regulatory standards and confidentiality policies, including HIPAA.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
• Support dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets.
• Report issues to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete required reports and adhere to health and sanitation regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
