Job Details

• Location: Brookwood Baptist Medical Center - 2010 Brookwood Medical Center Drive, Birmingham, AL 35209. Note: Online applications only.
• Schedule: Full-time, 12-hour shifts, days and hours may vary, including rotating weekends. More details provided during interview.
• Experience: Two years of food service experience preferred but not required.
• Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on healthcare units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They ensure meals are accurate, timely, and meet safety and nutritional standards, contributing to patient satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu choices, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
• Coordinate with culinary and nursing staff for special dietary needs.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and promptly.
• Follow regulatory standards, confidentiality policies, and HIPAA regulations.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines and infection control policies.
• Support dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets.
• Report issues promptly and complete required documentation.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds and maneuver carts.
