We have openings for part- and full-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATES (DIETARY AIDE) positions at Cleveland Clinic - Hillcrest, located at 6780 Mayfield Road, Mayfield Heights, OH 44124. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule varies, including some weekends and holidays. Shifts: 6am-2pm, 12pm-8pm, and 3/4pm-8/9pm. Requirements include hospitality or customer service experience preferred; dietary aide experience is a plus. Pay range: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, providing services such as helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and collecting meal trays. They are vital to patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary staff to accommodate food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, religious preferences, or additional inquiries.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately and timely, and retrieve trays from patient rooms.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and follow infection control policies.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets or with specific calorie counts.
• Communicate patient concerns promptly and complete required reports.
• Follow sanitation and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts.
