Job summary

Morrison Healthcare in Memphis, TN is hiring immediately for a full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide). You will help patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, ensuring accuracy and safety, while coordinating with nursing on dietary requirements. On-the-job training is provided; no degree required.

Schedule includes two 12-hour shifts and three 6-hour shifts weekly, with some weekends. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and coordinate with nursing on dietary requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies or cultural/religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays on time.
• Follow HACCP, HIPAA, and sanitation policies and guidelines.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring diets for specific caloric counts or restrictions.
• Communicate issues to appropriate staff promptly.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
