Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring for a PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) at the FHS-Siloam Springs Medical Center in Siloam Springs, AR. Both full-time and part-time roles with three 12-hour shifts per week are available, including evenings and weekends.

Prior experience is preferred. As a team member, you will assist patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver trays, and follow safety and HIPAA guidelines to ensure accuracy and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, or cultural/religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s selection; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Complies with regulatory agency standards, HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Follows HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations and breaking down patient tray line.
• Assist dietitians and monitor patients on specific diets as needed.
