Qualifications

• Active SafeStaff Certification required within 30 days of hire
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year phone experience in a customer service role highly preferred.
• Previous healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Experience with CBORD System highly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of Spanish highly preferred.
• Ability to handle repetitive tasks with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with others.
• Proficient with computers and learning new software applications.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service to ensure positive experiences.
• Answer phones promptly, take messages, and relay information to staff.
• Communicate with dietitians and update supervisors on nourishments requested.
• Enter and report data in CBORD and track meal supplies.
• Process patient menu selections according to prescribed diets and patient needs.
• Address patient and family questions about recipes, ingredients, and preparation.
• Ensure meal orders reach the correct kitchen and report disruptions.
• Maintain CBORD and patient data accuracy; monitor menu changes and allergies.
• Resolve patient requests and escalate to appropriate staff as needed.
• Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.
