Qualifications

• One (1) year experience in food service or in an office clerical position.
• Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words; respond to inquiries; write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Provides food service to patients as assigned by Team Leader.
• Monitors diet prescriptions and nourishment orders; handles tray requests.
• Checks patient meal choices against physician orders.
• Respects allergies and dietary restrictions; adjusts meals accordingly.
• Operates hospital computer systems and uses the fax machine as needed.
• Communicates patient information to the Food & Nutrition Leadership team and nursing staff.
• Maintains professional conduct with patients, staff and guests; supports department goals.
• Rotates shifts and may cross-train in different positions as required.
