Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service.
• Delivers nourishments and snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian.
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Obtains food preferences/dislikes from patients/family members.
• Communicates all patient food needs to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards and follows cleaning schedules.
• Re-stocks pantries, refrigerators, and freezers on assigned units.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Assists clinical staff to ensure patients' basic nutrition needs are met.
