Rankin Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Coordinator to bridge patient care with administrative excellence at our outpatient clinic in West Virginia. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring patients receive outstanding service from the moment they arrive.

You will coordinate appointments, verify insurance, manage referrals, and maintain confidential records while supporting clinicians and staff to enhance the patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare administration knowledge a plus.
• Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Experience in healthcare or medical office setting preferred; knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

• Coordinate patient appointments, verify insurance, and handle referrals.
• Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist with front desk operations, answering phone calls, and managing inquiries.
• Work closely with clinicians and administrative staff to enhance patient experience.
• Ensure a welcoming and organized clinic environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
• Proficient in using office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
