Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, located in Boston, seeks a friendly concierge/security support to assist patients and visitors. You will act as the first point of contact, providing information, directions, and proactive service while coordinating with multiple departments to ensure a smooth visit.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required, plus 1+ year of customer service.
CPR/AED/First Aid certification required or to be provided.

Responsibilities

Provide high level customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
Welcomes and acknowledges visitors; provides information and directions; anticipates needs.
Assist individuals with disabilities with obtaining transportation and other services.
Coordinate patient/visitor/staff requests to other departments to ensure follow-up.
Help coordinate patient transportation as needed (taxi, shuttle, etc.).
Maintain post area in clean, orderly fashion.
Provide security presence, including access control and enforcing rules.
Report and stay current on security issues and concerns.
Support Security field staff during emergencies and other events.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
