Job summary

Crossroads Treatment Centers in Abingdon, VA, is hiring a Medical Receptionist for our outpatient clinic. You will check in patients, process payments, and support daily operations while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor for a high‑quality patient experience.

You will guide new patients through intake and coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth admissions. This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred experience in healthcare or addiction medicine.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, addiction medicine, or office administration is preferred.
• Lived addiction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients, receive payments, and assist in daily operations.
• Maintain a friendly, professional attitude to provide a "white glove" experience.
• Guide new patients through the intake process.
• Collect urine and saliva samples for patient drug screens as needed.
• Maintain daily financial records and reports.
• Coordinate with medical and clinical staff to coordinate intakes.
• Provide clerical and logistical support.
• Oversee patient accounts and financial responsibilities.
