Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in medical office administration is a plus.
• Experience in a medical receptionist or insurance verification role preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and billing procedures.
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to visits.
• Collect and update patient demographics and insurance data.
• Coordinate with insurers to resolve coverage issues and obtain authorizations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Manage patient records and data entry in the EHR system.
• Assist with billing and payment processing as needed.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Certification in medical office administration
