Job summary

Family First Health is seeking a Medical Receptionist for the George Street York location. You will greet patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and manage appointment scheduling using athenahealth.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality. You will support the front desk team in a fast-paced clinic environment and contribute to accessible, compassionate care for the York community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience in a busy front-desk or medical office environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients with accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Maintain confidentiality and deliver excellent customer service.
• Review provider schedules and prepare documents for upcoming appointments.
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments per guidelines.
• Answer phones, route calls, and provide routine information.
• Assist with end-of-day cash reconciliation and billing questions with the billing dept.
