Job summary

Cancer Care of North Florida is hiring a Patient Concierge/Front Desk Associate in Lake City, FL. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, answer calls, schedule providers, and manage payments, while ensuring accurate record entry and document processing.

The role requires attention to detail, customer service skills, and familiarity with medical terminology. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience accessing/updating an EMR system preferred.

Practice Operations Management oversees the business and administrative operations of a medical practice.

The Patient Concierge, Front Desk Associate is the first point of contact for patients and family members at Cancer Care of North Florida. This position is responsible for greeting patients, confirming demographic and insurance information, answering phones, provider scheduling, as well as other duties as assigned. Customer service skills and attention to detail are important to this role's success.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families
• Answer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer files
• Schedule patient appointments
• Receive and correctly record receipts of patient payments
• Enter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Process requests for records from outside sources
• Scan data into document imaging software
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved
• Perform any other functions as required by management

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule as necessary
• Ability to type 40 wpm, preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience, preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
• One year of medical office experience, preferred
• Experience accessing and updating an EMR system, preferred
