Powers Health Registry · Nursing Registry in East Chicago, IN is seeking a Patient Companion to support patient safety, comfort, and dignity in a healthcare setting. The role is evenings with a 0.1 FTE schedule and shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with locations including Community Hospital in Munster and St.

Catherine Hospital in East Chicago. Responsibilities include one-on-one patient observation, preventing falls, and reporting changes to nursing staff while providing compassionate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college courses in related field a plus.
• Previous caregiving or healthcare experience a plus (not required).
• Must be able to react quickly to the needs of a patient who require immediate intervention.
• Ability to observe and recognize changes in patient behavior.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required or within 7 days of employment.
• Compassionate, attentive, and reliable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
