Job summary

Powers Health in East Chicago, IN, is seeking an RN Fellow for the Cardiac Catheterization unit. The program supports nursing students by developing clinical skills in an accepting environment, aligned with the hospital's philosophy and standards of care.

This part-time, non-benefit eligible position offers daytime hours Monday through Friday with flexible scheduling, an 8-hour per-pay-period rhythm, and opportunities to learn through observation, patient care, and teamwork within CHS/Powers

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Completion of one semester of didactic and clinical coursework.

• Assists with admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Measure vital signs, patient’s height and weight.
• Answers call lights promptly.
• Performs dressing changes, skin and wound care insertion of Foley catheters.

Position Summary

The goal of the RN Fellow program is to assist the Nursing student with the development of clinical skills. The RN Fellow, in an atmosphere of acceptance and support, will learn the art and science of Nursing within the framework of Powers Health philosophy, goals, and standards of care.

Education/Experience
