Job summary

Extended Care Specialists INC seeks a healthcare call center representative in Chapel Hill, NC. You will handle high volumes of calls, verify patient data in EMR, and explain services and policies with professionalism. This role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and multitasking under pressure.

The position is full-time with a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the Chapel Hill/Concord office and 2 days remote, 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday.

Job Category: Integrated Clinical Services

• Respond appropriately to a high volume of incoming calls, remaining professional and courteous
• Verify and update patient information during each interaction; enter accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Provide accurate information regarding services, insurance, office policies and procedures to clients/customers
• Triage calls and messages and route to the appropriate department or team member
• Other related duties as assigned.
• F ull-time 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, with a hybrid work scheduled of 3 days in our Chapel Hill or Concord office, 2 days at home.

Qualifications: Education, Licensure and Certifications, Related Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office or healthcare call center

Other specialized skills and knowledge necessary to perform this job. (e.g., basic accounting principles, computer skills and software, specific healthcare processes, interpersonal, communication:

• Proficient in computer application skills, including EHR/EMR, and utilization of common office equipment
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Efficient at multi-tasking, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
