Job summary

Cencora, Inc. seeks a Staff Pharmacist to join the Reading Hospital Pharmacy Program and help launch the Exeter Pharmacy location in Reading, PA. This full-time role requires dispensing medications accurately and delivering outstanding patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts are 8–10 hours with rotating weekends and holidays. A PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy and PA license with injectables is required, plus 1–3 years of community/retail experience is preferred to excel in this role.

Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
• Unrestricted, current Pennsylvania pharmacist license and injectables license.
• 1-3 years of community, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, prepare, verify, and dispense medications per standards and regulations.
• Provide counseling, ensure clinical care, and address patient questions.
• Review plans of care with prescribers to optimize therapy.
• Address escalated patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Contribute to ambulatory pharmacy goals and marketing support.
• Assist with hiring, training, and supervision of technicians.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and coverage to maintain patient care.
• Monitor workflow and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement and recordkeeping activities.
• Collaborate with staff on quality, patient satisfaction, and service excellence.
