Job summary
Cencora, Inc. seeks a Staff Pharmacist to support the Reading Hospital Exeter Pharmacy location. The role focuses on dispensing medications, counseling patients, and collaborating with prescribers to optimize therapy. Shifts range 8–10 hours with weekend rotations, in a full-time capacity.
Ideal candidates hold PharmD or B.Pharm, PA license, injectables certification, and 1–3 years in retail or ambulatory pharmacy. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
Qualifications
- PharmD or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
- Unrestricted, current Pennsylvania pharmacist license and injectables license.
- 1–3 years of community, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, prepare, verify, and dispense medications per standards.
- Counsel patients and provide clinical care, addressing questions about therapy.
- Review patient care plans for therapeutic appropriateness with prescribers.
- Address escalated patient inquiries and resolve issues to ensure service.
- Support ambulatory pharmacy goals and marketing events.
- Assist with hiring, training, and supervision of technicians.
