Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the state board of pharmacy.
• 0–6 months of experience is acceptable for this trainee role.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with compassion at all entry points.
• Provide excellent patient care by assisting with prescriptions and questions.
• Maintain a neat, compliant work area meeting company and government requirements.
• Assist team members to keep the department running smoothly.
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions efficiently (e.g., filling, labeling, invoicing).
• Assist in executing company initiatives and programs.
• Complete required training and exams.
• Follow policies including HIPAA and pseudoephedrine regulations.
• Finalize sales at the point of sale, and transcribe prescription data for labels.
• Help maintain inventory levels by ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating drugs and supplies.
• Answer phones politely and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Resolve customer questions with management and staff.
