Job summary

Hometown Urgent Care in Oklahoma seeks a Medical Assistant Receptionist to support clinicians with front-desk and basic medical assisting duties. You will handle registration, insurance verification, payments, and phone duties to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will travel to designated care centers within the region, maintain patient confidentiality, and assist in various service lines as needed by the Urgent Care Specialists network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience in a physician practice or clinic preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with compassion and provide exceptional service.
• Register patients by collecting demographics, insurance, and payment information.
• Handle payments including co-pays.
• Answer a multi-line phone system.
• Perform basic medical assisting tasks and occupational medicine duties.
• Travel to care centers within the designated region.
• Reconcile daily monies collected and protect patient confidentiality.
• Support service lines across the Urgent Care Specialists network.
