Hometown Urgent Care seeks a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Columbus, OH. You will support clinicians with clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring patient safety and efficient care.

Responsibilities include taking histories, obtaining vitals, performing screenings, phlebotomy, and assisting with exams and testing. The role requires 1–2 years of clinic experience, CPR certification, and proficiency with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a physician practice or clinic preferred.
• Basic computer skills including use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Ability to work independently with good clinical judgment and discretion.
• CPR certification must be completed and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform basic tests and screenings (vision, audio, urine screens, EKGs, PFTs).
• Perform phlebotomy for laboratory samples.
• Complete lab test paperwork and computer entries for samples.
• Assist providers with exams and testing (pelvic, ear/eye irrigations, injections).
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and patient rights.
• Schedule records, referrals, and patient education; travel to care centers as needed.
