Job summary

MarinHealth Medical Network is seeking a Medical Assistant for Front/Back Swing support under the supervision of the Clinical Lead and Practice Leader. You will assist providers, gather patient information, monitor vitals, and re-process instruments to support patient care.

The role requires 1+ year of related medical assisting experience, MA certification (NHA/AMCA) and BLS. Expect 40-hour weeks with 8-hour day shifts in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Licenses/Certifications: Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program such as NHA and AMCA is required. BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Experience: At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician’s office or other clinical setting, or equivalent combination of training and experience. Re-processing/ procedural experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Rooming patients, including obtaining vital signs, reason for visit, symptoms, and documenting their frequency and severity.
• Provide injections, immunizations and other patient care services as ordered by the medical provider.
• Provide assistance during medical procedures.
• Communication and correspondence including lab results, prescription management, and referrals: use electronic medical records and work off task lists to complete patient visits or requests.
