Job summary

MarinHealth seeks a Medical Assistant to support front and back clinic operations in a fast-paced setting. You will room patients, monitor vitals, assist with procedures and reprocess instruments under supervision of the Clinical Lead and Practice Leader.

The role requires Medical Assistant certification (NHA/AMCA), BLS, and at least one year of clinical experience. Strong documentation skills and EMR proficiency (Allscripts preferred) are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program such as NHA and AMCA is required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician’s office or other clinical setting, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs and reason for visit; document symptoms, frequency and severity.
• Provide injections and immunizations and assist during procedures.
• Record and communicate lab results, prescriptions, referrals and insurance verifications.
• Maintain patient areas and protect patient confidentiality; manage referrals and scheduling.
