Job summary

The Medical Assistant - Front/Back Swing role is based in MarinHealth's network across Novato, Petaluma and Sonoma, with a full-time day shift. You will support both front and back clinic workflows, including vitals collection, rooming patients, and assisting with procedures.

Requires a Medical Assistant certificate (NHA or AMCA), BLS, and at least one year of related experience. Proficiency with Allscripts EMR is preferred, along with strong patient communication and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification (NHA/AMCA) required.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of related medical assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document symptoms.
• Provide injections and immunizations as ordered.
• Assist with procedures and re-processing of instruments.
• Communicate lab results, prescriptions, and referrals in EMR and coordinate care.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, greet patients, and manage basic insurance verifications.
