Responsibilities

• Provides security services with a customer-service approach and professional appearance.
• Maintains safety rules, documents events, and assists patients, visitors, and staff.
• Performs routine patrols, inspects for hazards, and conducts searches.
• Prevents and investigates workplace violence; responds to combative or threatening situations.
• Utilizes de-escalation techniques and uses force only when necessary (e.g., TASER).
• Plans, prepares for, and responds to emergencies (fires, infant abductions, active threats).
• Intervenes during crises and documents timely, accurate reports.
• Coordinates with law enforcement and first responders; briefs teams on policy compliance.
• Liaisons with departments to promote security awareness and resilience.
• Maintains training standards including radio communications, de-escalation, hemorrhage control, CPR, and restraints.
• Assists with exterior traffic and parking control.
