Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect patients, visitors, and staff across our facilities in South Carolina. The role emphasizes professionalism, de-escalation, and adherence to safety policies while delivering compassionate service in challenging situations.

Responsibilities include patrols, incident reporting, coordination with law enforcement, emergency response, and supporting a safe, therapeutic environment. Requires HS diploma and IAHSS CHSO within 2 years.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in security, public safety, or customer service handling emergent situations and protecting people and property.
• High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications preferred.
• Liaises with law enforcement and medical staff as appropriate; strong safety mindset required.

Responsabilités

• Provides security services with a customer-service approach, focusing on professionalism, fairness, and compassion.
• Performs interior and exterior patrols, identifies hazards, and manages safety inspections.
• Responds to emergencies, de-escalates situations, and assists with crisis management.
• Investigates incidents and completes reports; escalates to leadership with documentation.
• Liaises with law enforcement and first responders to ensure policy compliance and safety.
• Maintains training standards for radio, de-escalation, CPR, and restraint equipment.
