Job summary

Springfield Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care per Illinois Nurse Practice Act. The RN will manage daily office operations and coordinate patient care with care teams across clinics, hospitals, and home care agencies.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, documentation, education, and medication administration (with certification for chemo excluded). The role requires active RN licensure in Illinois and CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse education: ADN, diploma or BSN.
• Current RN license in Illinois.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interview for nursing history and document findings in medical records.
• Assess health knowledge and maintenance; prepare patient for physician examination.
• Advocate for patients and coordinate care with care team and clinics.
• Evaluate referral needs to home health or community agencies.
• Provide education on prevention and health maintenance; document results.
• Administer medications (excluding chemotherapy unless certified).
• Assist physicians with examinations and prepare equipment as needed.
• Coordinate nursing care with hospital departments and pharmacies.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
