Job summary

Springfield Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver professional nursing care within the Illinois Nurse Practice Act. The RN will manage daily clinic operations and collaborate with care teams, hospitals, and home care agencies to optimize patient care.

The ideal candidate will have RN licensure in Illinois, ADN/ diploma or BSN, CPR certification, and a commitment to quality and confidentiality in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Nurses assess health status and document findings.
• Provide patient education and preventive care.
• Coordinate care with physicians, hospitals, and home care teams.

Responsibilities

• Interview for nursing history and document findings.
• Record vital signs and test results prior to physician exams.
• Advise patients and refer to appropriate services as needed.
• Provide pre/postoperative instruction and home care guidance.
• Administer medications (per policy) and assist physicians as required.
• Coordinate nursing care across departments and care settings.
