Job summary

Springfield Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care within the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and to coordinate patient care across clinics, hospitals, nursing homes and home care agencies.

The nurse will interview patients, assess health needs, document findings, and support physicians during examinations. Medication administration, patient education, and compassionate care for patients and families are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Illinois (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN path accepted).
• Illinois RN license required; CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interview for nursing history and assess health knowledge; document findings.
• Obtain medical information, vital signs, and test results for physician exam; document in medical record.
• Administer medications by all routes (except chemotherapy) per policy.
• Provide patient education, pre/postoperative instructions, and emotional support to patients and families.
• Coordinate nursing care acrossClinic departments, hospitals, nursing homes and home care agencies.
