Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to be the first contact for patient care. Reporting to Supervisor, Central Administration, you will handle administrative tasks in addition to clinical duties while onsite.

You will perform varied responsibilities including vital signs, medication administration, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and processing in the EMR. The role involves collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant credential required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, and administer medications and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information into the EMR.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care within active certification.
• Follow established procedures with some interpretation/deviation allowed.
