Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, room patients, and handle clerical tasks in EPIC. You will schedule appointments, manage charts, and provide patients with information to maximize service use.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of an MA or phlebotomy program; CNA/EMT/paramedic certification may also qualify. BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited MA or Phlebotomy program; CNA/EMT/paramedic acceptable.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care responsibilities as assigned, and assists providers.
• Rooms patients, prepares for visits, and documents in EPIC.
• Sends/receives patient records and schedules appointments.
• Maintains infection control and cleans exam rooms and equipment.
• Provides information to patients and coordinates with care teams.
• Supports front desk duties and billing-related tasks as needed.
