Job summary

Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health (NOAH) seeks a Medical Assistant to support diagnostic testing, education, and patient treatment under the provider. The role involves preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting with exams, injections, ECGs, and specimen collection, as well as clerical duties and maintaining supplies.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED and Medical Assistant certification or BOMEX-aligned training; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) or BOMEX-aligned program.
• BLS certification required.
• Spanish language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works in a team model to improve patient experience and access to care.
• Prepares patients for examination, takes vitals, and records health history.
• Sets up EKG machines, administers injections and medications, collects specimens.
• Assists provider with treatments, procedures, and exams.
• Manages inventory and equips exam rooms with supplies.
• Handles scheduling, check-ins/outs, and patient records.
