Job summary

Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health (NOAH) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in diagnostic testing, examinations, education, and treatment. You will prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and document health history, while assisting with routine procedures and maintaining exam rooms.

Responsibilities include setting up EKGs, injections, specimen collection, coordinating referrals, and assisting in offsite testing as needed.

Qualifications

Knowledge of medical practices and front and back-office procedures.
Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to interact with diverse backgrounds.
Strong customer service skills and professionalism.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and good judgment.
English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record health history.
Set-up EKG machines, administer injections and medications, and perform routine specimen collection and tests.
Assists provider with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.
Manages inventory of medical supplies and cleans exam rooms.
Receives and directs calls, schedules appointments, checks-in patients, and processes referrals.
May travel to offsite locations for diagnostic testing and affiliated duties.
