Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (business course) required.
• Completion of a medical assistant program with 180-hr internship is essential.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Clear diction and multilingual communication with a diverse patient community is essential.
• Familiarity with Physician Computer Network preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and operate EKG machine; complete point-of-care testing and screenings.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist MDs/NPs/RNs across the life cycle.
• Answer calls, schedule patients, verify identity, collect payments, and record data.
• Provide general clerical support including filing, data reports, and statistics.
• Support coordinated care and patient-centered care with the health care team.
