Job summary

Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health (NOAH) is hiring a Medical Assistant to support the provider with diagnostics, exams, education and treatment at Desert Mission Health Center in Phoenix, AZ. The role also includes clerical duties and patient flow coordination.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED, MA certification, BLS, and bilingual English/Spanish skills. You will work in a collaborative team, prepare patients, manage vitals, assist with procedures and ensure accurate

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical practices and front/back-office procedures.
• Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; English/Spanish Bi-lingual required.
• Strong customer service, confidentiality and good judgment.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with diagnostics, exams, education and treatments.
• Prepare patients, take vitals, document health history.
• Set up EKGs, administer injections, collect specimens.
• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize and stock supplies.
• Support scheduling, check-in/out, referrals and records.
• May travel to offsite locations for testing.
• Coordinate insurance authorizations for therapies and referrals.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and community outreach as required.
