Responsibilities

• Coordinates tests and treatments with and between departments for patients on nursing units.
• Facilitates communications to support patient care including phone, paging, and hospital information system.
• Maintains EMR and other computer systems for ordering supplies and processing charges.
• Prepares chart forms for admissions, transfers, discharges and expirations; handles medical records transfers.
• Verifies patient demographic information and registration in medical records.
• Maintains positive customer relations and supports a harmonious work environment.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care knowledge for patients served.
