Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Silverdale, WA is seeking a Unit Coordinator to serve as a central hub for patient care and as the unit receptionist and secretary. You will support patient care across all ages, from newborns to geriatric patients, within a designated time frame.

You will work with the healthcare team to ensure safe, therapeutic care, manage information flow, and assist with day-to-day operations. Strong organization and communication are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program.
• Military medical specialty training, upon hire.
• Certified Nursing Assistant: WA, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient personal care/hygiene and comfort across age groups. Prepares patient, equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assists nursing staff with admission, discharge and transfer activities and documents patient data per unit standards.
• Monitors and reports changes in patient condition to RN; transports samples and relays information to the care team.
• Maintains orderly unit environment and replenishes supplies, reports equipment issues and coordinates with the healthcare team.
