Mercyhealth is seeking a Unit Clerk to support patient care operations in a fast-paced surgical ambulatory setting with accurate order entry, record management, and courteous visitor assistance.

You will collaborate with clinical staff to maintain smooth unit workflow, manage supplies, and participate in quality-improvement activities while delivering excellent service.

Completion of unit clerk training or equivalent, CPR/BLS certification within 90 days, and strong computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Unit clerk course or equivalent on the job training.

Responsabilités

• Processes orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Answers the telephone and call lights appropriately and relays messages to patients and staff.
• Directs visitors to the room of the patient.
• Maintains medical records of current patients.
• Processes patient charges and orders supplies as needed.
• Floats to various units based on identified need.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
