You will assist with activities, transport patients, and monitor vital signs, reporting abnormal findings to nursing staff.

Certifications required include CNA and BLS. One year of clinical experience or completion of an intern program is expected.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of clinical experience or completion of intern program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the patient with changing/dressing.
• Transports the patient by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair.
• Identify abnormal findings that could adversely affect surgical and patient outcomes, including abnormal vital signs, Accucheck results, lab, EKG, and CXR results.
• Report all abnormal findings to the appropriate nursing staff.
• Escort patients to holding rooms.
• Assists with patient changing, and removal of belongings such as jewelry, dentures, contact lenses, etc.
• Verifies patient information.
• Orients patients and families to the environment.
• Obtains vital signs.
