Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Shift-Rotating Patient Care Technician to support routine patient care under nurse supervision. The role involves assisting patients with daily activities, transporting patients, and recognizing abnormal findings to keep patients safe in a busy hospital setting.

Required CNA certification, BLS, and at least one year of clinical experience (or completion of an intern program).

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• BLS certification required or provided by certifying organization.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience or successful completion of the intern program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with changing and dressing.
• Transport patients by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair.
• Identify abnormal findings and report to nursing staff.
• Escort patients to holding rooms.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Verify patient information and orient patients and families to the environment.
