Qualifications

• CNA certification is required.
• BLS certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network is required/acknowledged.
• One year of clinical experience is required or completion of the intern program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the patient with changing and dressing.
• Transport the patient by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair.
• Identify abnormal findings that could affect surgical and patient outcomes.
• Report all abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Escort patients to holding rooms.
• Assist with patient changing and removal of belongings.
• Verify patient information.
• Orient patients and families to the environment.
• Obtain vital signs.
