Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore is seeking a Patient Care Technician for night shifts. Under nurse supervision, you perform routine delegated patient care and assist with mobility, transfers, and basic monitoring.

You will obtain vital signs, identify abnormal findings, report to nursing staff, and help orient patients. CNA and BLS certifications are required, with at least one year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Provides basic clinical skills to safely perform routine delegated patient care activities.
• Ability to record and report pertinent clinical data and use of essential patient care equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the patient with changing/dressing.
• Transport the patient by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair.
• Identify abnormal findings that could affect outcomes and report to nursing staff.
• Escort patients to holding rooms.
• Assist with patient changing and removal of belongings.
• Verify patient information and orient patients/families.
• Obtain vital signs.
