Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care in Libertyville, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our urgent care team. You will support front-end and clinical operations by taking patient histories, obtaining vitals, and assisting with procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy if certified, maintaining accurate EMR documentation, and assisting providers with exams and testing, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role; OR equivalent education/certification
• Preferred Urgent Care/Occupational Medicine experience
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Ability to register patients in EMR quickly
• CPR certification is preferred and helpful

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy for lab samples if certified
• Document lab tests and patient history in the EMR
• Assist providers with exams and testing
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and clean exam rooms
