Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician – Surgical Oncology in Elmhurst, IL. The role covers night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am with a 36-hour week, located at Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus. The position includes weekend/holiday rotation and no travel.

You will provide patient care under RN supervision, ensuring patient comfort and safety, with opportunities for career growth. Eligible candidates have CNA training or related clinical rotation, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum six months of patient care experience or completion of a nursing clinical rotation.
• Complete Care Companion Course within six months if required by the department.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Location : Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Full-Time : 36/hr per week
• Hours : 7:00pm-7:30am with every 3rd weekend and holiday track
• Required Travel : no

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training courseorminimum six monthsof previous patient care experienceorequivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
