Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Surgical Oncology to join our team. This full-time role is based at Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus and involves night shift 7:00pm to 7:30am with every 3rd weekend and holiday track.

Under the supervision of an RN, the PCT provides essential patient care, assists with procedures, and supports patient comfort and safety. CPR certification and completion of a nursing assistant program or equivalent experience are required, with

Qualifications

• CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association is required.
• Completed accredited nursing assistant training or minimum six months of patient care experience or equivalent.
• Completion of a care Companion Course within six months of hire if required by the department.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team and follow directions.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Full-Time: 36/hr per week
• Hours: 7:00pm-7:30am with every 3rd weekend and holiday track
• Required Travel: no

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training courseor minimum six monthsof previous patient care experienceor equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
