UMass Memorial Health in Leominster is looking for a Patient Care Technician to assist with patient care and daily living activities. The role involves communication with nursing staff regarding patient changes and providing supportive services such as personal hygiene, ambulation, and vital sign monitoring.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, Basic Life Support certification, and a calm demeanor under stress. The position demands physical activity and a commitment to patient care.

Competenze

• Minimum of 800 hours and at least 6 months as a PCA I for advanced level.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Mansioni

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes.
• Assists patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and meals.
• Takes and records vital signs and performs other health checks.

Conoscenze

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English clearly

Basic computer skills

Knowledge of medical terminology

Calm under stress or emergency situations

Formazione
