Job summary

The Patient Care Technician at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab provides basic daily care to patients and supports families, aligning with our mission to advance human ability. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA Certification or current enrollment in accredited nursing program required.
• Orientation completion for Patient Care Technician is required.
• Must demonstrate ability to care for patients across age groups and adapt to care needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs hygiene care, meals, mobility, and daily living activities.
• Collects vital signs, specimens, and records data per care plan.
• Transports patients and equipment as needed and assists with transfers.
• Documents care activities in the nursing database and monitors supplies.
• Alerts RN to changes in patient condition and safety hazards.
